Dr. Joachim Munzberg is a German Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with extensive clinical experience in the entire field of plastic (reconstructive) – aesthetic surgery. He has independently performed different operations since 1999.
For 20 Years, he has been working in his own practice and in the staff Department in the hospital as a plastic and aesthetic surgeon. Before that, he trained for 6 years with a degree in general surgery. In the last 20 years, he has performed about 500-600 procedures in aesthetic surgery every year.
He has acquired profound knowledge, skills and experience in the normal and pathological anatomy, teratology and evolution history of face, neck, breasts, external genitals and extremities.
He is thoroughly acquainted with healing process of the different operations as well as possible complications of transplants of various autoplastic tissues.
Since November 2001, Dr. Munzberg has been working in a Private Practice with reserved beds in St. Josef Hospital in Dortmund Hoerde, Germany and opened his own clinic on November 2018.
His Dermato-Surgery experience enabled him to practice in his field with great command and excellent outcome in a complex procedures and elective cases.
Dr. Munzberg started his Subinternship in surgery at the Johannes Hospital Neheim-Hüsten on Sep. 1992 and as Intern in the Clinic for General -Orthopedics and Vascular Surgery im Clemenshospital/ Academic Teaching Hospital of the Westf. Wilhelms University of Münster Germany on Aug. 1993.
He can speak German, English (fluent) and Italian (intermediate).

• Certificate as Specialist in Plastic Surgery in 2004 from Medical Association Westfalen-Lippe, Germany
• Certificate as Specialist in Surgery in 1999 from Medical Association North Rhine, Dusseldorf Germany
